    • Delatitie Winery

Delatite is a small family run winery that was established in 1982 by Robert and Vivienne Ritchie and now run by their son David. Specialising in cool climate wines, especially white aromatics, it is sited on a picturesque rise overlooking the vineyards toward Mt Buller in North-east Victoria. As part of families who have been farming in Australia since the early nineteenth century, David and Catherine are committed to sustainable agricultural practices and winemaking with integrity. Since 2002 they’ve followed Biodynamic practices across all areas of vineyard operations and also believe in minimalist winemaking. Please drop in to see the Cellar Door and Larder at 26 High Street Mansfield when you’re next in the district. We’d be delighted to show you our beautiful part of the world and the chance to taste our award-winning wines along with some simple but delicious food. Tours of the winery can still be made, but only by appointment. Again awarded Five Red Stars in James Halliday’s 2013 Australian Wine Companion, released at the end of July 2012. Delatite is proud to support the Flinders Quartet, Chamber Music Australia, the Koori Heritage Trust, Museums Australia (Victoria), and the Sydney Institute of Marine Science.

Perched on five acres of countryside, the Bonnie Doon Hotel Bistro offers a traditional pub experience like no other… so saddle up and find out what it’s all about. With stunning views of Lake Eildon, this relaxed and spacious bistro captures the essence of country Victoria; high beamed ceilings, wood panelling, exposed brick, a huge fireplace, and a pub decorated with all manner of horse riding gear set the scene for cold brews and a hearty feed. Enjoy the views of rolling hills from the gazebo and outdoor seating areas as you tuck into pub favourites like the classic chicken parmigiana or a refreshing pumpkin salad finished with raspberry vinaigrette.

    • The Giddy Goat Café –  DEFINITELY NOT bike friendly DEFINTELY AVOID THIS PLACE

Located in Yarck the ‘The Giddy Goat Café’  has had MANY BAD REVIEWS from Bike riders, the owner is often rude to bike riders and it is recommended that you have your lunch at the Yarck General Store. We have also had many complaints about the hygiene of their accommodation. And the owner refuses to take Rail Trail Bike Tour bookings.

Mia Mia Tearooms are housed in a lovely heritage-listed building that indeed started life as the Mia Mia Tearooms back in the 1880s. With its gracious facade, sunlight streaming through the windows, you could almost think you were still back in that era as you mix with locals who have quickly come to regard the tearooms as a relaxed meeting place.

The menu of homemade offerings includes good pies, cakes, soups and terrific platters of local produce such as smoked trout, local cheese and olive oil. There are always several good vegetarian and gluten-free options for main courses and cakes for dessert.
